This image from Elle Decoration reminded us of the wonderful design of the ubiquitous tin can once it’s label is torn off. They really do make great vessels.
Tin cans must be in the wind. Yesterday, we came across these zinc chic-ed up can vessels for sale at Anthropolgie.
But then sculptor Alexander Calder saw their possibilities eons ago. Dig these ashtrays!
And this just in, spotted at Design Boom: Dutch artist Willem Heeffer’s up-cycled Heinz bean can chandeliers in a Helsink restaurant:
